![]() ![]() This will replace the exe file for the game and remove the steam dependency, leaving you to mod the game to your hearts content without having to worry about steam verifying your files and possibly deleting your mods. All you have to do is copy the X3 Terran Conflict folder from your steamapps to another location on your computer and then download the latest update for the disk version from here. Just to clarify what was being said before.Īll of EGOSOFT's games prior to X-Rebirth could be played without steam, even if that is where you purchased it from. ![]() Just dont get why Steam are such numpty's at times. I'll more than likely leave it as it is and play vanilla for now, I was just wanting a good mod like the real space and vision mod. Personally i dont want to mod it myself as i have enough on with 7daystodie and what not, Will this run the game outside of steam also, Still its strange that steam lets you add mods and run it from there but i do get what you are saying, ![]() Nice one this is partially what i was wanting to know, Modding the original steam folder will be iffy at best, since Steam like to check the files from time to time and will happily mess up any changes you have made. Make a new, separate folder, copy the contents of the X3TC-folder to your new folder, and add your mod there instead of in the original folder. Just go to where ever you put your steam folder, open in, then go to SteamApps -> common and you should find a folder named "X3 Terran Conflict" there. Mark117h wrote:As to re-locating a copy of the game, you have me lost. I've tried to search through steam but the community part is down at the mo, so i have had no look there "YET". Well this is what it says on the launcher anyways. What i wanted to know was how do i actually go about adding mods to my steam install of X: Terran Conflict and which directory and what naming conventions for the mod folder should i use. I even tried to add the mod folder to the egosoft folder in my documents but i still end up getting the greyed out box when it comes to selecting the mods. So i tried a few different things from naming the folder from Mods - mods - Mod - mod, i have tried to add the folder to the steam folder with any number of the above combinations with the mod name. However i noticed on the launcher that the mods box was still greyed out. What i did was download the realspacevision mod from this forum, i followed the rules to the T about installing the mod and how to go about doing this. Write your shaders just once, they'll work everywhere, regardless of your target being Direct3D or OpenGL: ReShade takes care of compiling them to the right shader model and language (HLSL, GLSL or SPIR-V). The syntax is based on HLSL, adding useful features designed for developing post-processing effects: Define and use textures right from the shader code, render to them, change renderstates, retrieve color and depth data, request custom values like timers or key states. ReShade features its very own shading language and compiler, called ReShade FX. NET Framework 4.6.2 or higher installed is required. ReShade supports all of Direct3D 9, Direct3D 10, Direct3D 11, Direct3D 12, OpenGL and Vulkan.Ī computer with Windows 7 SP1, 8.1, 10 or 11 and. ![]()
